Hello!
A little bit about me,
I am a second year Health Services Management student minoring in Global Health and Community Health at IU Indianapolis. I have a passion for health policy and advocating for those who can't advocate for themselves, especially in the world of healthcare. I want to help rectify health disparities, such as food and diaper insecurity, through both my volunteerism and career.

Why Health Services Management?

Why did I choose Healthcare Administration?
When I started college in Fall of 2023, I was a Public Health major minoring in Epidemiology. I soon learned I didn't enjoy learning about diseases and all the numbers involved in epidemiology. I also volunteered at a local vaccine clinic through the Public Health Volunteer Corps. My experience at the vaccine clinic opened my eyes to health disparities and language barriers in Indianapolis and inspired my passion for rectifying these disparities. I took a class on health policy the next semester, and it further developed my passion for helping to improve health equity. I want to make change in the healthcare world to help improve the lives of the underprivileged. My internship with the Social Determinants of Health team at Eskenazi has further solidified my dream to help with interventions that rectify health inequities.
