Honors Contracts

I am a member of the IU Indianapolis Honors College, and part of how I earn honors credits is by completing Honors Contracts. I work with a professor to develop a plan for an extra project for a course, and then execute that plan. These projects have taught me creativity while helping me expand my knowledge of public health topics.
E210 Embroidered Zombie Sweatshirt
I created a zombie-inspired design for a sweatshirt that promotes the importance of vaccines. I then embroidered my design and catch phrase onto a sweatshirt that can serve as a public health promotion.
Through this project, I learned how to effectively and creatively communicate public health topics to the general public.
A316 Tornado Preparation Fact Sheet
I created an informational fact sheet about tornadoes and how to prepare for them as an Honors Contract for my environmental health science class. I researched tornadoes, what to do during a tornado, what to do after a tornado, and more details in order to create the most comprehensive preparation sheet.

Through this project, I learned how to create a fact sheet that communicates all the necessary information in a clear and succinct way.
